Only two flights of golfers saw a change at the top spot in the final round of the 43rd Annual Blowout Tournament hosted at Duncan Golf & Tennis Club this Memorial Day weekend as titles were awarded.
The Championship Flight had a one stroke difference between first and second however Blake Berry and Jake Johnson were able to hold on with a 60 third round score to win by five strokes.
J.J. Russell and Micah russell were able to tie for the best final round performance with a 58 to jump from fourth place to a second place finish in the Championship Flight with a three round total of 183.
Last year champions Brad Fleetwood and Eric Moore had the second best round tying the best final round performance with a score of 58 to finish fifth in the flight with a three day total of 187.
Chris Dickerson and Ryan Hightower along with the duo of Matt Grantham and Edward Loar rounded out the top five with a tie for third with 186 strokes on the their three day total.
The A-Flight was one of two leadership changes. Jamie Gray and Rodney Poeling had their best performance of the three rounds shooting 62 on Monday to tie with Clinton Hughes and Kory Wade who both had a three round total of 189.
Brent and Ronnie Cole jumped into the top five with the second lowest round score at 63 to finish third in the B-Flight while the top five was rounded out by the duo of Haden Dillard and Logan Philley and the duo of Marty Askins and Tyler Garrett.
The top five stayed nearly the same in the B-Flight as Larry Busby and Dustin Holcomb took home the title with a score of 71 in round three and a three round total of 198.
Dillon Dilbeck and Ty Williams got back one stroke to shoot a 70 to finish three back at 201 while Caleb and Drew Wortham shot a second straight 68 to finish in third with a score of 206.
Ryan Cox and his partner Marcus Dawkins finished in fourth with a three round score of 207 while Donnie Davis and Gary Davis shot a 69 to round out the top five with a score of 208.
Cody Brown and Zack Dennis took home the title with a 69 in round three and won by three strokes with a score of 203. A tie for second happened with Brandon Barker and Rick Hickenbottom and the duo of Johnny Maxwell and Ryan Whatley both got 206.
In fourth place came Collin Bawcom and Carlton Fancher while a tie for fifth happened between David Hernandez and Manuel Hernandez and the duo of Shawn Bateman and Treble Newberry, with both teams shooting 208.
Trent Jenkins and Brandon Perkins took home the title after shooting 69 in the third round but had to hold off Derrick Black and Bobby Dodson who shot a 66 with Jenkins and Perkins finishing with a three day total of 207 and the duo of Black and Dodson shooting 210.
Joe Cunningham and Jamie Mercer also shot a 69 to finish third with a score of 211 and a four way tie for fifth finished out the top finishers of the D-Flight.
There was no doubt in the E-Flight who was winning as Josh Harris and Zach Harris finished with their best score of the tournament at 65 and won with a three day total of 199.
The next best finisher was K D Eason and Trey Eason who shot the second best third round with a 70 but finished with a score of 215.
The next few golfers in the E-Flight in the top five were within several stroke as Sage Britain and Justin Six scored 217 to finish third while Mike Florillo and David Moore finished court with a score of 218.
There was a two-way tie for fifth place as the duo of Jarrod Bishop and Gerrad Davis and the other duo of Darrel Smith and Trent Smith both shot 219.
Going into the final day in the F-Group, there was tie broken by Kary Covington and Jeff Johnson who shot a 74 to finish with 219 while Brent Russell and Jacob Russell had a 73 round best to finish with a tie for second with 221.
Tanner Jenkins and Adam Pogue, who were in a tie for first place, shot a 76 to be the other tied for second with a 221 three round total as well.
