It was a rough week for the Pigskin Prognosticators, but the bunch keeps on keeping on.
Ben Whitehead remains in the lead, but the gap between first and seventh is as tight as it’s been all season. Robert “The Greek” Cowan jumped into second place by himself with the best week by any prognosticator. Matt Tillson and Tommie Ellis remain tied for third, while Wayne McKinney, Sherrie McCormack and Joe Hicks are just a few games back. Ron Booth remains in eighth place, trying to get on a roll.
Ellis is the lone prognosticator to select Lawton MacArthur to beat Duncan. Central High, Velma-Alma and Waurika are this week’s other area favorites. Bray-Doyle, which plays against Healdton tonight, is the underdog at home. Marlow and Empire are heavy underdogs in their respective games, while Comanche is a slight underdog on the road at Hobart.
Oklahoma is back in action this week and favored to beat Iowa State. Oklahoma State looks to end a long drought by winning on the road at Texas Tech for the first time since 1944.
