Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association (OSSAA) has plans on the table this week to discuss resuming high school sports in Oklahoma to prepare for the next school year this Friday.
In a letter sent out by OSSAA Executive Director David Jackson to administrators, Jackson said they wanted to get the plan out by Tuesday but will wait to release it once approved by the OSSAA board.
The meeting will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, May 22 and will be available on the OSSAA website for the public to watch as the discussion takes place to open to some capacity possibly on June 1.
All OSSAA-sanctioned activities were canceled as of March 26 when the decision was made to cancel the basketball state championships and all springs sports.
If approved by the board, the plan will be e-mailed out to all OSSAA administrators and a full plan discussing the opening will be in the weekend edition of The Duncan Banner.
