Editor's Note: OSSAA has moved the Class 5A State Cross Country meet to Nov. 4 instead of this Saturday Oct. 31. This was due to extensive damage to the course at Edmond Santa Fe High School.
Coming in fourth place in the Class 5A Regionals hosted in Norman this past weekend, the Duncan Boys’ Cross Country team qualified for the state meet while The Lady Demons’ Jordan Patterson also qualified as an individual for the girls’ 5A State meet.
Blake Meadows took home third overall individually in the 5A boys’ meet with a time of 16:23.43. He was one of two Duncan boys’ runners in the top 25.
Kaceson Lolar placed 17th overall with a time of 17:23.58 while Nathan Hudson finished 26th overall with a time of 18:05.71.
Nathan Robbins and Caleb McFatridge were the other point getters for the Demons as Robbins finished 41st with a time of 18:45.42 while McFatridge was 50th overall with a time of 19:01.34.
Duncan’s other two racers were Drew Taliaferro, who placed 52nd overall with a time of 19:07.00 and Adam Clifton, who finished 69th overall with a time of 19:50.36.
The Lady Demons’ cross country team finished ninth overall and only had one qualification for the 5A State meet as Patterson was the second individual to cross not affiliated with a top four team.
She finished 30th overall with a time of 21:46.39 while the rest of the Lady Demons’ cross country members finished the season at regionals in Norman.
Katrina Arredondo finished 50th overall with a time of 24:30.86 while Jentry Seeberger came in right behind her at 51st with a time of 24:42.89.
Jasmine Morales came in right behind at 52nd place with a time of 24:57.25 while Amaya Garcia was the last team scorer for the Lady Demons at 69th place with a time of 26:23.27.
Other Lady Demon runners included Nichzdaly Sepulveda, with a time of 27:43.69, and Ixchel Sepulveda, who placed 83rd overall with a time of 28:08.17 to finish out Duncan’s runners.
Patterson will run in the Girls’ 5A State meet beginning at 10 a.m. Nov. 4 at Edmond Santa Fe High School while the Duncan boys will run at 10:45 a.m. Nov.4 after the conclusion of the 5A Girls’ meet.
