The last two tournaments for the Duncan boys’ golf team has seen them with top finishes which allowed them to also take home the Xpress Wellness Team of Week award.
Playing 36 holes on March 29 at the MacArthur Highlander Invitational, the Demons placed first overall as a team and had Baylor Bostick and Jace Black tie for third place individually.
Izaac White, Kaden Stevens and Bryce Carr finished in a tie for fourth place to wrap up their first tournament of the week with heir second tournament in a few days.
Traveling to Lincoln Park West Course in OKC this past Thursday, the Demons’ golf team finished second overall with two top placers in the top 10.
Black got a third place finish while Carr finished ninth overall to lead the team to the runner up spot and make it their fourth straight tournament with a top finish as a team.
Duncan will now turn their attention to hosting duties as they host the 2021 Justin Crook Southern Oklahoma Invitational Tournament at Duncan Golf & Tennis Club.
They will host nearly 30 teams with starts throughout the day as it will serve as a preview for the Class 5A Regionals which will be held at Duncan Golf & Tennis Club.
The action will begin at 7 a.m. April 8 and will last throughout the day as Duncan boys’ golf looks for the chance to finish better than their third place finish back in 2019.
The 2020 edition of the Justin Crook Southern Oklahoma Invitational Tournament was canceled due to COVID-19 and the last time they won the tournament was back in 2018.
