After completing the perfect district record Thursday evening with a 9-2 win over MacArthur High School, the Duncan Demons spent Senior Night facing a tough Tuttle Tigers team.
The Demons and Tigers battled back and forth the entire game however Tuttle scored four in the top of the seventh to get the 12-10 victory over Duncan to spoil Senior Night.
Tuttle took the early 5-0 lead before the Duncan offense got going in the bottom half of the fourth inning with one of the seniors driving in the first run.
Connor Thaxton with the bases loaded walk drove in the first run with a wild pitch scoring Hunter Prince to make it a Tiger 5-2 lead after four innings of play.
Tigers scored a run in the top half of the fifth to take the four-run lead when another senior Brandon Miller hit a two-run homer run homer to left field to put the Tuttle lead to 6-4 with Thaxton coming through again with a single to left to make it 6-5 after five innings of play.
After a run in the top half of the sixth, Jaxon Gregston singled in a run to bring the Tuttle lead to 7-6 after six innings of play.
Adding five runs in the top half of the seventh inning, the Demons needed six runs to tie and seven to get the victory.
Another senior Josh Bumgarner doubled to left center to score Thaxton and take the 12-7 lead before loading the bases and getting another big hit from senior Miller to drive in two to make it 12-9.
Jackson Attaway drew the bases loaded walk to make it the outcome with the Tigers getting out of Duncan with the victory.
Senior Night honored seven seniors with Derek Bridges, Connor Thaxton, Josh Bumgarner, Creed Watkins, Cameron Giles and Carson Kinnaird.
Demons will now host Regional Tournament next week with the times, dates and opponents to be determined when OSSAA releases the brackets.
Duncan ends the regular season with a 25-8 record and a perfect 14-0 in district play.
