Bray-Doyle's home game against Paoli scheduled for 7 p.m. Sept. 11 has been canceled according to the district.

It was the first full week of football and the second game of the 2020 season for the Bray-Doyle Donkeys and they ran over Ryan with the 60-6 victory, taking home the Xpress Wellness Team of Week award.

Bray-Doyle used the running game exclusively in the victory as four players rushed for the total offense with Weston Edwards leading the way with seven carries for 133 yards.

Tyler Anderson also surprised the century mark as he ran for 13 carries and had 122 yards while Cody Edwards had three carries for 79 yards and Alex Alvarez had two carries for eight yards.

Defensively, the Donkeys had Cody Edwards leading the way with 12 tackles and both Justin Furrister and Brian Wiles had five tackles apiece.

Weston Edwards had another big defensive play for the Donkeys, securing an interception.

The game was over by halftime due to the mercy rule.

Third year head coach Marcus Knight said he was proud of the way his team played and happy to receive the Team of the Week award.

“Offensive line blocked really well, ran the ball exceptionally well and we had some young kids step and play really well,” Knight said. “Tyler Anderson ran the ball really well while the defense swarmed to the football. It is always a honor to be team of the week.”
