Junior High Team

Cade White, Kasen Vanbuskirk, Kooper Doucet, Brook West and Hannah Koehn stand at OKC Fairgrounds after the Junior High State Wrestling Tournament where the five wrestlers placed in the top five of the competition.

Comanche’s wrestling team has always had a winning history and it was no different this year for the junior high teams as they had five place at the Junior High State Tournament this past weekend.

Kooper Doucet in the 150 division placed first overall while Comanche also had their first two girls place in the top five as well in their respective divisions.

Brook West placed second in the 175 division and Hannah Koehn finished third place in the 138 division while the other two placers came in the upper weights of the competition.

Kasen Vanbuskirk in the 160 division placed fifth overall and Cade White got a fifth place finish in the 283 division.

Doucet got a fall victory in the championship matchup, West finished as the runner-up, White got fifth place by a decision and Koehn won by fall to finish third.

With the season finished for the junior high level, the Indians wrestling program will have Dual State for the high school followed by regionals and then the State Tournament to finish out the month of February.
