Mikey Eaves on day one tees off hole number 10 at Duncan Golf & Tennis Club when the annual Blowout Tournament began Saturday.

The 43rd Annual Blowout Golf Tournament hosted at Duncan Golf & Tennis Club continued on this Memorial Day weekend even though rain put a little delay in some of the rounds.

A sunny Saturday kicked off the first round and the early flights began the first round of play with Matt Grantham and Edward Loar shooting a 58 in the first round of play.

Chris Dickerson and Ryan Hightower came in right behind them with a score of 59 while J.J. Russell and Micah Russell came in third with a score of 60.

Day two on Sunday was delayed by an hour before a new leader emerged in Blake Berry and Jake Johnson, who shot a tournament best 57 in round two to lead by one stroke going into the final day.

Berry and Johnson had 118 through two rounds while Grantham and Loar had 119 and they battled in the afternoon for the title in the Championship Flight.

The A-Flight saw a battle during the first day with Haden Dillard and Logan Philley shooting a score of 60 while Jeff Elroy and Lincoln Sadler came in second with a score of 62.

A tie for third in the A-Flight after one day was Clinton Hughes and Kory Wade while the duo of Jamie Gray and Rodeny Poeling also came up with scores of 63 heading into round two.

Sunday turned out to be a big day for Hughes and Wade as they shot 61 to take a one stroke lead over Elroy and Sadler who got a 63 in second round with Hughes and Wade shooting 124 and Elroy and Sadler shooting 125.

Larry Busby and Dustin Holcomb have had the lead for both rounds in the B-Flight as their 65 tied with Jacob White and Rann White for the first day best.

Ryan Cox and Marcus Dwakins shot two 67s and are in third place going into the final round while Dillon Dilbeck and Ty Williams took over the second slot after shooting 68 on day one and 63 on day two.

Cody Brown and Zack Dennis took a two stroke lead heading to the final round in the C-Flight as they shot a 66 round in the first to be the best in the flight and shot 68 which tied for second on Sunday.

Shawn Bateman and Treble Newberry shot the best second day total with 67 after a first round 68. They have a total of 136 and sit in second place heading to the final day.

Johnny Maxwell and Ryan Whatley sit in third with a two-round total of 137 after shooting 69 in the first round and 68 in the second round.

Trent Jenkins and Brandon Perkins have the lowest rounds in the D-Flight shooting two rounds of 69 for a grand total of 138 as they lead over BJ Chapman and Shane Jones who have a score of 141.

In the E-Flight, Josh Harris and Zack Harris went into the third day with a commanding lead as they shot 134 with both rounds being under par at 66 and 68 for the total of 134.

Mike and Randy Harper shot 143 while a tie for third between Mike Fiorillo and David Moore and the duo of Jarrod Bishop and Gerrad Davis come into day three with a score of 144.

The final F-Flight has a tie going into the championship final round as Tanner Jenkins and Adam Pogue got a score of 145 with Kary Covington and Jeff Johnson also shooting a two-day total of 145.

In striking distance is Jay Smith and Michael Ward who shot 147 while Brent and Jacob Russell got a two day total of 148.

The rest of the first two round scores are listed online and below. Day three final results will publish in the Thursday edition and online Wednesday afternoon.
