Wichita Mountains Prevention Network, (WMPN) an agency which works in Stephens, Comanche and Jefferson Counties to help create awareness for substance abuse and offers prevention strategies and treatment along with mental health wellness, are in need of some data to continue their work and funding.

Brooke Mahoney, WMPN’s Regional Prevention Coordinator, said the group has missing data for the age demographic for citizens aged 18 to 25.

“The grants we are working on — the prescription drug prevention initiative, is [ages] 12 to 25,” she said to the Banner previously. “We already do surveys through the schools every other year with the Oklahoma Prevention Needs Assessment Survey, so that gets the 12 to 18 [year-old] population, but then we found there were gaps with getting the 18 to 25 [year-old] population.”

The survey is now open at https://www.research.net/r/OKcommunity

Those who participate in the survey can also register to win prizes which include an Apple Watch, an iPad, 40’ Smart TV and more.
