A Duncan man accused of three counts of lewd molestation now has a warrant out for his arrest.
According to court documentation, Michael Howard Phillips is accused of three counts of lewd molestation, two of which involve two different four year old children and the third involves a seven year old child.
Lewd molestation is punishable by three to 20 years in jail and up to a $1,000 fine. If found guilty of the accused crimes, Phillips will have to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before becoming eligible for release.
Information documents indicate the accused molestation happened between Nov. 2, 2018, and Aug. 2, 2019, “in a lewd and lascivious manner.”
Separate forensic interviews with the two younger children indicated the incident of Phillips touching them only happened once, though at the same time. They indicated Phillips, according to reports, allegedly touched them in their “bad spot” and “hoo-hoo” and told one of them he was going to “feel (their) body.” One of the children indicated on these spots on an anatomically correct drawing.
Interviews with the third child indicate it happened on more than one occasion for them and the child stated, according to affidavits, Phillips put his hand in their underwear. The child said in the interview it made them feel “scared a little bit.”
As of press time, Phillips had a warrant out for his arrest. A bond amount will be set when is arrested and appears before a judge.
