Velma Wreck 4-21-19

One of the cars in an early morning two car wreck in Velma was being pulled out by personnel on the scene. The two women in the car were admitted in serious condition, but are now in stable condition according to a family member.

Authorities were on scene early Sunday morning a mile east of Velma on Highway 7 near Ice Hollow Creek that had two being airlifted according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol unit on the scene.

A trooper on the scene, according to his investigation, believes the wreck happened around 6:30 a.m. and involved two cars with three people hurt and one being airlifted from the scene.

OHP Troop G and several other emergency responders responded around 7 a.m. One of the cars left the roadway and went into a ditch near the creek according to the trooper.

The other person injured who was airlifted was taken by ambulance to the hospital and then airlifted while the third person is still being treated at the hospital according to the trooper.

At this time there are no fatalities according to the trooper on the scene and the accident and cause are still being investigated as of 11 a.m. Sunday morning.
