The Duncan Chisholm Trail Kiwanis, who are in charge of Kiddieland, made an official statement around midnight Sunday.

"Just a reminder, this is the LAST weekend the park will be open for the summer season. All rides, with the exception of the train, will be open. Please come join us for our last day of the season!" This is a developing story and will be updated as more information is made available.
Several units have responded to a train derailment at Kiddieland in Duncan that happened early Saturday evening while the park was open.
Duncan Police Sergeant Jarrod Bishop said they received the call around 7:37 p.m. Saturday. It was reported that there were 11 minor injuries reported while he was on the scene.
Bishop stated that a state inspector has been called from Oklahoma City to look into what caused the train to derail from the tracks.
He added that the volunteers who operate the rides at Kiddieland provided Bishop with a maintenance log and check list that they go through that showed no reports of anything wrong before the Saturday night shift began.
Without knowing what caused the accident, Bishop said he thought something might have malfunctioned, but is awaiting the official report from the state inspector.
Rumors going around have said there were a few people transported with broken bones, but according to Bishop, he was unaware of those reports but said it could be possible, however, he did not know of any reports.
Kiddieland staff was on the scene, but an official statement has not been made and according to reports, a statement will be made through their Facebook.
Investigation is still ongoing according to Bishop and a full report will be available once the state inspector is finished with the report and a cause is determined.
This story is developing and we will have more information as it becomes available.
