The Duncan Toy Shop will serve up spuds to help buy toys for local children this week.
The annual spud luncheon will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church.
Baked potatoes with toppings including butter, sour cream, bacon bits, black olives, lettuce, chicken, turkey, ham, cheese, tomatoes and more. Homemade desserts will be served. Tickets are $7 per person. No tickets are available at the door.
With crowds of about 1,000 people expected to be served, early preparation is important.
Toy Shop co-chairwoman Kathy Snider said they are always taking donations of food, money or volunteers to help with the spud luncheon.
