The Rush Springs TSA (Tech. Students Assoc.) will host a VIP Luncheon Fundraiser and Open House to view our School Aeroponics/hydroponics gardens from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, with a networking and training information session after the meal.
The meal will feature speeches from some State Legislators and information about new technologies for school gardens. The meal will be $25 per person with a spaghetti dinner, salads from the aeroponics gardens, deserts and drinks. The event will be in the old cafeteria by the Rush Springs High School, 601 W. Blakley, Rush Springs, OK 73082.
“We would like to invite all schools, administrators, teachers, and parents who are interested in school garden programs, and anyone who would like to ask our State Legislators about issues pertaining to our educational programs and how our schools may impact the economic development programs for building our Oklahoma economy,” said a release from Rush Springs. “We will also be viewing one of the outstanding premier school aeroponics/hydroponics school gardens in the country. The new technologies that Rush Springs TSA have been using for over 4 years now, have a proven success for sustainable school gardens to grow fresh vegetables, herbs, and flowers year round in the classroom. This is a great opportunity to see what our students are doing to prepare for their futures and ask our legislators questions about our schools and educational programs.”
All proceeds will help the Rush Springs TSA students pay for equipment, supplies and student expenses for the 2019-2020 school year.
Limited seating is available for the meals, so reservations are encouraged. Contact Larry Lance, STEM Teacher by phone at 580-476-3596, the School at 580-252-9194 or via email at email@example.com.
