Duncan Police have confirmed one Marlow man is dead after he rolled his vehicle into the lake.

According to Officer Bryan Eades, the victim has been identified as William Mason, 53 years old. The accident took place around 11:47 a.m. Saturday, June 1 at Rose Road near Scott Road by Lake Humphreys. 

“The gentleman was driving east on Rose Road from Scott Road and he somehow went left of center of roadway, entered in a ditch on the north side of the road, maneuvered the vehicle out of the ditch, and lost control,” Eades said. “The vehicle entered a spin and went through the guard rail over the north part of Lake Humphreys. His vehicle rolled over upside down and sunk.”

Eades confirmed the man, who lived at the lake, was pronounced dead at the scene.

DPD, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Patrol, Duncan PD accident instructors, AMR, Duncan Fire Department and the Oklahoma Medical Examiner all responded to the scene.
