Police are investigating the death of a Duncan girl who was killed in a dog attack, according to DPD Lt. John Byers.
Byers said the initial call came in to dispatch at 3:19 p.m. around F Street in Duncan and the officer responded to a call of a dog bite and the circumstances around what caused the attack is still be investigated.
“When they arrived on the scene the young juvenile female had been attacked by a dog and the dog was still in the area,” Byers said. “It was later located by officers and that dog was put down by the officers. We are currently still investigating all of the circumstances around it right now.”
As with ongoing investigations, Byers said that more information will be released when it becomes available.
Currently no names have been released.
