The “boils” and “ghouls” of Duncan Little Theatre (DLT) are hoping you might stay for a bite or maybe the night for their third annual Midnight Masquerade.
The party is from 8 to 11 p.m. Oct. 26 at Butterfield’s Mercantile and Ballroom, 805 W. Main Street.
Amy Baker, costume mistress for DLT, said it was for 21 and older, with a cash bar and BLH Music Services will be providing the tunes so you can “monster mash.”
Baker said the new owners the Seacoys were very excited to continue the tradition.
Tickets are $10 and can help you fit the part.
“If you buy a ticket before hand you then can come to Duncan Little Theatre and rent a costume for $10,” Baker said. “Costume rentals are normally $15. That includes the full costume which could included hat, shoes of we have them, jewelry, scarves and maybe small props too.”
Not able to go but want a wicked costume? Have no (well some) fear.
“Even if people aren’t going to the Midnight Masquerade someone can still rent a costume,” Baker said.
The Costume Shoppe will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. on Oct 15, 16, 17, 23, 24 and 25 at 824 W Main.
“I will not be open that next week so anybody that wants something for Halloween they’ll need to come early,” she said
Returns will be in November and there is a $35 deposit.
“Our costumes cost way more then $35 but we do ask for a deposit in case it needs to be cleaned or repaired or replaced,” Baker said.
One of the types of costume Baker said they don’t have much of was super heroes but they had lots of options and sizes.
