Flying out of the Stephens County Humane Society (SCHS) for Take Out Tuesday this week was Delta. She is a little over two years old and is ready to take flight into a new home.
Formerly Elana and now Delta, she is a boxer/labrador retriever dog and was very excited to get some time away from the SCHS.
Once we arrived to the office Delta got a burst of energy as we met the new people in the office who she was happy to meet.
Delta immediately showed her explorer mentality going around sniffing everything and waiting for someone to play with her or feed her.
It didn’t take long for her to want the cheeseburgers that we got and she ate gently and was happy to take the bites quickly into her tummy.
With a full belly, Delta took a quick nap before needing to go outside. She was ready to put the leash on and got very excited as if to say ‘come on Andy.’
Heading over to the Stephens County Courthouse, Delta was happy to see the ladies at the District Attorney’s office and even got to visit with District Attorney Jason Hicks.
Hicks got a chance to watch Delta in action and noticed how the ladies in the office love when we come by with a dog each week and even suggested some of his employees to take Delta home.
While the convincing didn’t work, we headed over to the Court Clerk’s office who always have a good time when we bring a dog over and Delta was no different as she is a crowd pleaser.
Getting really comfortable in the office, Delta went up to the ad director and plopped on to the floor asking for a belly rub which was hard to say no to.
After the day away from the SCHS at The Banner, we feel Delta will make a wonderful dog but she needs to be in a home where she is the center of attention with no other pets involved in the household.
