A collision around 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 has left one dead, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
OHP reports show the crash happened on the Duncan Bypass, about half a mile north of Seminole Road, just half a mile south of Duncan.
Records show the 2007 Honda Motorcycle was driven by Marcus O. Law, 59, of Marlow. Reports show he was traveling northbound on the Bypass when he departed the roadway to the left and struck a sign. Reports show he was thrown about 30 feet before coming to rest.
Law was transported by Air Evac to Duncan Regional Hospital and was pronounced dead by the Emergency Room Doctor at 4:39 p.m. from the injuries sustained in the collision.
The condition of the driver is pending investigations but troopers reported in their documents improper speed caused the collision. A helmet was not in use at the time, records show.
Duncan Police, Duncan Fire, AMR and Air Evac all responded to the scene with OHP.
