In a time where it’s difficult to socialize and connect with others in large surroundings, a virtual women’s conference hopes to bring questions answered and friendships made.
In a nation with many opportunities, Pink Impact 2021 will hold their annual conference via a fully online experience.
With that, one local church now steps up to setup a virtual experience giving women a chance to dive deeper into scripture and friendships together.
Connection Church in Duncan will host a free virtual Pink Impact Conference with a livestream including a variety topics for discussion. This will feature messages about all the things you never thought would be talked about in church.
The Gateway Pink Impact Women’s Conference will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 26 and from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m on Saturday, March 27.
Tara Scott, one of the organizers for the event, said she hopes the opportunity will bring women together for deeper discussions and friendships.
“In a time where personal connections are difficult to have, I’m hoping this will provide an opportunity for women in our community to come together and find that connection with each other,” Scott said. “God designed us to live in relationship with Him, but also with each other. I’m hoping He uses this opportunity to bring us together in a Spirit-filled discussion and form friendships that last beyond Saturday.”
The theme for the conference is “Let’s Talk About It,” allowing for women to form deeper friendships and “talk about it.”
According the conference website, the livestream will feature a variety of speakers such as Bridgette Morris, Dr. Henry Cloud, Havilah Cunnington, Lynette Lewis and Sarah Jakes Roberts.
A release from Gateway about the conference states this will be an opportunity for ladies who have any questions they are too afraid to ask to bring them to the table here to the gathering of Spirit-filled women who love Jesus and each other, as well as for those who avoid certain conversations because they seem risque. There’s a place to talk about these topics with each other.
“Jesus didn’t shy away from these conversations and we won’t either,” she said. “We hope you will join us and ‘Talk about it.’”
The livestream will stream from Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas at Connection Church.
