Editor's Note: This story has been updated to reflect Wilkins Health and Rehabilitation will enter Phase Two as opposed to Phase Three as previously reported in the group's statement.
Wilkins Health and Rehabilitation, a facility in Duncan, reported their rehabilitation center will begin with visitations.
Tony Wilkins, owner, said, “I’m happy to announce we are going back to phase two and we will resume face-to-face visiting Thursday, Sept. 17.”
Since having one person out of all staff members test positive for the COVID-19 virus, Wilkins is now ready to take visitors again.
“Our test is an antigen test, so we sent the staff member to be retested with a PCR test which is more reliable,” Wilkins said. “That test came has come back negative which means the first test was a false positive.”
Wilkins thanked everyone for their cooperation and patience during this challenging time.
Wilkins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is located at 1205 S. 4th Street in Duncan.
