Through multiple grants and donations, The Toy Shop of Duncan received $11,500 ahead of the organization’s busiest season.

Kim Davis, Executive Director of the Toy Shop of Duncan, said the Toy Shop warehouse currently occupies a space located at 931 W Willow.

The Toy Shop of Duncan will have a fall sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15 and from from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16.

“We are so very excited to be in our own place and look forward to having more sales in the future,” Davis said.

Davis said in the past week, the Toy Shop received three grants/donations.

“This week has been a great week for us,” Davis said. “Walmart Jewelry and Repair out of Marlow approved a grant for $4,000, Walmart in Duncan approved a grant for $2,500 and Arvest Bank gave us a donation of $5,000.”

According to Davis, this is huge progress for the Toy Shop.

“We have had to purchase our warehouse, renovate it to bring it up to code per the city of Duncan and will now have overhead that we have not previous had,” Davis said.

Davis said they look forward to their fall sale to kick off their busy season.

The Toy Shop of Duncan’s annual toy run in December will begin registration on Nov. 12-13.

“We can’t wait to make this Christmas season a bright one for children in Duncan this year,” Davis said.

Donations can be mailed to the Toy Shop of Duncan at P.O. Box 206 Duncan, Oklahoma, 73534. For more information, call 580-255-9625 or visit Duncan Toy Shop online at
