On January 11th at 7pm at the Simmons Center in Duncan, Oklahoma Texas, YS Asset Management will present the first show in the Duncan Crapemyrtle Music Series; “Reflections of Patsy Cline starring Lisa Layne”.

Patsy Cline is considered one of the most influential vocalists of the 20th century and was one of the first country music artists to successfully crossover into pop music. Since her death, Cline has been cited as one of the most celebrated, respected and influential performers of the 20th century. Her music has influenced performers of various styles and genres and she has been a forerunner for women in country music. In 1973 she became the first female performer to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Her songs “Crazy”, “Walkin After Midnight” and “I Fall to Pieces” are part of country music lore.

Lisa Layne has been performing Patsy Cline shows all over America for over 25 years. In 1993 she won the role of Patsy in the first National Tour of “Closer Walk with Patsy Cline” and moved to Branson where her show was named the Best Show in Branson in 2010 and 2011! Lisa was also voted Best Vocalist in Branson!

Among her other accomplishments, Lisa has been the vocalist for Vince Vance and the Valliant’s and her voice adorns the famous Christmas song, “All I Want for Christmas is You!”, which is the fifth most requested Christmas song of all time! She is a member of the Louisiana Country Music Hall of Fame and recently, Lisa has been in Nashville where she has shared a stage with Vince Gill and the Time Jumpers and performed at the Grand Old Opry.

“Without question, Lisa is the premiere Patsy Cline performer and she has the track record to prove it”, says Mike Britt of Lion of Texas Entertainment. Audiences are thrilled by Lisa’s performances and I am confident Duncan and the surrounding area is going to love this show. It is a rare thing for an award-winning Branson performer to come to Duncan and I think people are going to be very excited to get a chance to see this performance”.
