The City of Comanche celebrated Public Power Week and Fire Prevention Week with a community barbecue at city hall on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

City Manager Chuck Ralls said, “This is the day we take every year just to thank our community for just being great.”

Around 100 community members came to city hall to take part in the city barbecue.

Two girls, Anna and Olivia Newton also enjoyed the firehouse bounce house during the barbecue event at city hall.

“We try to support them for supporting us,” Ralls said. “We cook a meal every year and have giveaways and just try to pay it back to the community that makes everything possible.”
