Stephens County continues to climb with new active COVID-19 cases according to data released Thursday from Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH).

According to OSDH’s statistics, as of Thursday, Nov. 12, Stephens County has had a total of 1,065 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 794 recoveries and 10 deaths, leaving a total of 261 active cases in the area.

Stats show Duncan has had 704 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which five have died, and 534 have recovered, which leaves 165 active cases in the city.

Comanche has had 130 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which three have died and 105 have recovered, leaving 22 active cases.

Marlow, however, has had 191 confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which one has died and 125 have recovered, leaving 65 active.

Velma has reported 27 confirmed cases, of which one has died and 22 have recovered, leaving four active cases.

Loco has had six cases with six recoveries, leaving Loco fully recovered.

On the state level, there are 144,691 cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma. There are 11 additional deaths identified to report for a total of 1,481. No deaths were identified in the past 24 hours. Deaths reported and their counties include:

• One in Beckham County, one male in the 65 or older age group.

• One in Caddo County, one female in the 65 or older age group.

• One in Carter County, one male in the 65 or older age group.

• One in Comanche County, one male in the 50-64 age group. 

• One in Custer County, one male in the 65 or older age group.

• One in Jackson County, one male in the 65 or older age group.

• One in Okfuskee County, one male in the 50-64 age group.

• Two in Pontotoc County, two males in the 65 or older age group.

• One in Roger Mills County, one female in the 65 or older age group.

• One in Wagoner County, one male in the 65 or older age group.

The same data released Thursday for Oklahoma shows of the 144,691 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 120,426 have recovered and 22,784 are active.

Confirmed cases increased by 2,357 or 1.7% day over day while active cases increased by 1,064 or 4.9% day over day and recoveries increased by 1,282 or 1.1% day over day.

On the national level, Johns Hopkins reported as of Wednesday, Nov. 11, the country has had 10,399,325 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 241,910 have died and 3,997,175 have recovered, leaving a total of 6,160,240 active cases. Day over day, confirmed cases increased by 147,196 or 1.4% while recoveries increased by 35,302 or 1.8% and active cases increased by 109,655 or 1.8%.
