After Sunday’s report showed five deaths related to COVID-19 in Stephens County, Monday’s report showed no deaths and still a downward trend in active COVID-19 cases.

Stephens County is at 4,641 positive cases, according to the recent report from Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) with 65 deaths and 4,414 total recoveries, which leaves 164 active cases, down from 176 day over day.

Duncan is at 118 active cases with their total case count at 2,937 with 39 deaths and 2,780 total recoveries, while Marlow is at 988 total cases, 10 deaths and 946 recoveries, which brings a total of 32 active cases.

Comanche is at 13 active cases with 541 positive cases, 14 deaths and 514 total recoveries, while Loco and Velma are still at two active cases apiece.

Velma is still at 113 positive cases, two deaths and 109 recoveries while Loco is still at 49 positive cases, no deaths and 47 total recoveries.

Bray still has no active cases with both of their cases previously reported already recovered.

On the state level, there was a growth of 499 cases to bring that total to 419,853 positive cases with the seven day rolling average at 797.

There were 22 additional deaths reported in the state to bring that total to 4,203 with all of the deaths reported today ranging from Jan. 1-16, 2021 according to the State Department of Health.

Those demographics include:

  • One in Adair County, one female in the 65 or older age group.
  • Three in Carter County, one female in the 65 or older age group, two males in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Cherokee County, one female in the 50-64 age group.
  • One in Cleveland County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Comanche County, one male in the 50-64 age group.
  • One in Creek County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Kay County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Noble County, one female in the 65 or older age group.
  • Five in Oklahoma County, two females in the 65 or older age group, two males in the 50-64 age group, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Ottawa County, one female in the 50-64 age group.
  • Two in Pottawatomie County, one female in the 65 or older age group, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Rogers County, one female in the 65 or older age group.
  • Two in Tulsa County, two males in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Washington County, one male in the 65 or older age group.

Active cases in the state are down by 303 to leave 15,053 active cases while recoveries were up by 790 to surpass the 400,000 mark at 400,597 case recoveries.

Johns Hopkins, in the Sunday report on the country, showed a growth of 56,495 confirmed cases to bring that total to 28,134,115 confirmed cases in the country so far throughout the pandemic while deaths were up by 1,249 to bring the nation’s death toll to 498,897 so far as a result of COVID-19.
