The State Health Department's daily report indicates Stephens County added another new COVID-19 death to the running count as of Monday, Feb. 15.
Data released by the Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) shows the new death makes 58 in the county so far throughout the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to OSDH reports, the new death was recorded in Duncan, but no demographics were available as of press time.
The State Health Department's daily report indicates Stephens County showed a small increase in active COVID-19 cases as of Monday.
Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH) reported data showing 4,586 positive cases, 58 deaths and 4,279 recoveries, leaving 249 active cases in the county.
Stats show Duncan, since reporting a new death, has had 2,894 of those confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county along with 2,679 recoveries and 36 deaths, which leaves 179 active cases in the city.
Comanche has had 538 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 10 have died and 507 have recovered, leaving 21 active cases.
Marlow has had 978 confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which 10 have died and 920 have recovered, leaving 48 active cases.
Velma has reported 112 confirmed cases, of which two have died and 109 have recovered, leaving one active case in the town.
Loco has had 49 cases, of which 47 have recovered, leaving two active cases in the town.
Bray has had two total COVID-19 cases, with two recoveries, leaving the town of Bray fully recovered.
On the state level, there have been 414,272 cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma, of which 389,035 have recovered and 21,196 are active, which is down by 485 or -2.2% day over day.
There have been 4,041 deaths, with the count increasing by 17 since Monday’s report.
On the national level, Johns Hopkins reported as of Sunday, Feb. 14, the country has had 27,640,938 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 485,336 have died. Day over day, confirmed cases increased by 64,938 or 0.2% while deaths increased by 1,088 or 0.2%.
