Marlow recorded a new COVID-19 death, according to data released from the State Department of Health Tuesday. The death brings Stephens County’s death count to seven deaths from the novel coronavirus.

According to the State Department of Health, the one death in Stephens County was a female in the 50-64 age group. The death is one of 15 statewide reported Tuesday to bring the statewide death total to 1,119.

The other deaths reported Tuesday in the state of Oklahoma include:

  • One in Adair County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Caddo County, one female in the 36 - 49 age group.
  • Two in Comanche County, one male in the 50 - 64 age group and one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Garfield County, one male in the 50 - 64 age group. 
  • One in Jackson County, one female in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in McClain County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in McCurtain County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Muskogee County, one female in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Pontotoc County, one female in the 50 - 64 age group.
  • One in Roger Mills County, one female in the 50 - 64 age group.
  • One in Sequoyah County, one female in the 65 or older age group. 
  • Two in Tulsa County, two females in the 65 or older age group.  

Stephens County also showed a growth of positive and active cases as there have been 536 confirmed positive cases, seven deaths and 442 recoveries, leaving 87 active cases in the area.

Duncan saw the biggest growth as they had 11 new positives to bring the total to 351 confirmed cases, four deaths and 292 recoveries, leaving a total of 55 active cases in the city.

Marlow’s positive cases stayed at 90 day over day but had their first official COVID-19 related death. The city also reports 74 recoveries, leaving 15 active cases.

Comanche’s, Velma’s and Loco’s numbers stayed the same day over day. 

Comanche has had 80 positives, one death and 68 recoveries leaving 11 active cases. 

Velma has had 15 confirmed cases, one death and 10 recoveries, leaving four active cases in the town while Loco has had two cases, no deaths and one recovery, leaving one active case in the town. 

Data showed a growth of 1,309 positive cases in the state of Oklahoma for a grand total of 101,493 positive cases so far.  However, there were only 57 active cases added throughout the state for a total of 13,872 active cases.

Recoveries statewide were up by 1,237 for a total of 86,502 recoveries, according to the State Department of Health.

Johns Hopkins Monday’s report on the national level showed a growth of 41,653 confirmed cases for a total of 7,804,199 in the nation while there were 317 new deaths reported for a total of 215,085 deaths.

Active cases grew by 9,685 for a total of 4,482,386 active cases while there were 31,651 new recoveries for a total of 3,106,728 recoveries so far.
