Duncan Area Literacy Council will host a New Citizen Celebration in mid-September at the “Citizenship Corner.”

The event, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19 will celebrate new citizens and all are welcome to attend. 

Additionally, the event will include a special presentation of new citizens by Rep. Marcus McEntire, R-Duncan. This celebration will honor Duncan Area Literacy Council’s newest six citizens for this year, which brings the total to 18 new citizens for Stephens County in the last there years.

Refreshments will be served during the event.

The event will take place at Duncan Public Library, located at 2211 N. Highway 81.

This project is made possible by the Department of Libraries with funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services through a Library Services and Technology Act Grant.
