BancFirst announced Natalie Cole will succeed Ben Herrington as president of BancFirst Duncan. Herrington, who has served as president since 2001, will retire from banking after 41 years. The announcement was made by Ken Starks, BancFirst director of community banking, and will be effective Jan. 1, 2022.

“Natalie has a tremendous amount of knowledge and expertise that has earned her a great reputation,” remarked Starks. “She is well-equipped to fill this role. Natalie is an outstanding banker with a steady managerial style in which both customers and employees respond. She has deep roots in this community and is passionate about its future.”

Cole graduated from Duncan High School and the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. She started with BancFirst in 2013 and has over ten years of banking experience. She is currently the senior vice president of commercial lending and was honored with the BancFirst Certified Master Lender designation. Regarding being named president, Cole stated, “BancFirst has a legacy of success led by strong, experienced bankers. It’s gratifying to have the opportunity to lead BancFirst Duncan into the future.”

Cole is native to Duncan and she and husband, Brent, have one daughter, Brooklyn. She is active in the Duncan community as a United Way loaned executive and Aequalis Study Group volunteer. She is also an avid golfer and huge OU football fan.
