Downtown Duncan merchants are preparing for the annual Holiday Stroll event that will take over Main Street on Saturday.

The annual event that aims to kick of the holiday shopping season is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 and will ring in the 35th year of downtown merchants participating.

The annual tradition is a favorite amongst the retail business owners and those in the community, according to Main Street Executive Director Destiny Ahlfenger.  Families and visitors from out of town fill downtown Duncan for this historic event, she said, and many of the downtown retailers will offer discounted shopping, door prizes or giveaways, new merchandise for the shoppers during the stroll, and surprises inside each store.

From homemade baked goods to a the hottest trends, holiday stroll has something everyone will appreciate at any age, according to Main Street Duncan Board Member Tara Harper.

“The holiday stroll is the retail event of the season for downtown Duncan,” Harper said, “and something we’ve enjoyed doing with friends and family for years. The stores offer something new, fun games, and a great selection of food.”

With many new stores opening across downtown, shoppers will have an even greater selection of items to choose from Saturday.

Just a few of the many, many deals offered downtown on Saturday are JuStuff Surplus offering everyone who makes a purchase to be entered into a drawing for a recliner value at approximately $300.
