Lions Carnival

Family-fun festivities will fill the fairgrounds as the Duncan Noon Lions Club hosts its annual carnival.

This year, the carnival will take place from May 18-20 at its routine location at the Stephens County Fairgrounds' outdoor rodeo arena.

Mike Davis, with the Duncan Noon Lions Club, said the carnival will be put on by Great Plains Amusement Company from Rush Springs.

Davis said they love to offer this event to the community each year.

“It’s just another way of providing services to the community for a fun weekend of entertainment,” he said.

The family-friendly event will bring the traditional carnival rides and games, as well as a variety of carnival food.

The carnival will run from 6-10 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 and wristbands will be available to purchase for $30.

On Friday, May 19, the carnival will run from 6-10 p.m. and wristbands will cost $30.

For Saturday, May 20, the carnival will run from noon to 4 p.m. and wristbands will cost $25, then for the evening hours, 6-10 p.m., wristbands will cost $30. A new wristband will need to be purchased each time and will not be able to be reused.

A purchased wristband each day will allow carnival attendees to ride all of the rides.

For individual attraction use without a wristband, tickets will be required. All rides will require more than one ticket and attendees can purchase individual tickets, as well as multiple.

For all four sessions, the cost for individual tickets are $2 each.

Davis said by providing the individual tickets, they hope it helps out parents with small kids who don't have as many options when it comes to rides.

Proceeds from the carnival will help fund scholarships and eye glasses.
