A favorite each year during pool season is off the table this season.
The Kiwanis Club, which offers summer swim lessons for children and has for many years, announced the cancellation of this year’s lessons. The cancellation comes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Because of the virus, Kiwanis announced they cannot properly maintain social distancing while teaching swim lessons at the same time.
According to the Duncan Chisholm Trail Kiwanis, swimming lessons are “such a special treat and our volunteers, members and instructors love teaching your children.”
In other news, Kiddieland Park administration have not set an opening date or rescheduled a date to host the Golden Ticket private parties.
According to the Kiwanis, details on an opening date remain in the planning stages and will be released when it is safe for all.
