Are you ready to explore the job market? Perhaps you want to learn about career opportunities outside of the local community? Cameron University’s Red River Career Expo, now in its 23rd year, can help!
As one of the largest job fairs in southwest Oklahoma, the Red River Career Expo is a prime opportunity for all students, military personnel and residents of southwest Oklahoma to meet with national, regional and local employers. A wide-range of career fields, including health care, accounting, business/financial management, marketing, engineering, information technology, sales, law enforcement, and more, will be represented.
The Red River Career Expo takes place from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20 in the Aggie Rec Center. The event is open to the public at no charge.
Not only will employers who are actively seeking employees be available, representatives from numerous universities – including Cameron – will be on hand with information about master’s degree programs.
“The Red River Career Expo offers a variety of opportunities across a multitude of fields for job-seekers to explore,” said Paula Merrifield, Career Services Coordinator. “Attendees can learn about part-time and full-time career opportunities as well as internships.”
Job seekers are advised to dress to impress, as they will have the opportunity to network, distribute resumes, and gather valuable information regarding a wide variety of career options.
“Cameron students who are unsure how to prepare a resume are welcome to call the Office of Student Development at 580-581-2209 for assistance,” Merrifield said.
