Gabriel’s House

Halliburton Employees, Gabriel’s House staff and students celebrated a donation given by Halliburton for the second year.

For the second year, the Halliburton Employees have selected the Gabriel’s House program for one of the non-profits they choose to support with a donation.

On Thursday, a small group came and gave a $10,000 donation and toured the Duncan building according to Dallas Gibbs, executive director.

“This is actually the second year that group has done that,” she said. “So for them to do that two years in a row is very humbling and we are very grateful to know they believe in our program that much. We weren’t expecting it at all this year. They just called and came and toured the facility and gave us $10,000 dollars.”

The money will help the three locations of Gabriel’s House.

“That money just helps us continue to operate those new locations in Empire and Comanche and of course Duncan. It just goes in the general fund and helps our daily operations,” Gibbs said.

Gabriel’s House is a non-profit Christian based after school program.

“We teach a character curriculum and several enrichments such as art, STEM, the Boy Scouts come once a week and teach, we are partners with Marie Detty to do classes, we are partnered with The Safe Center for classes,” Gibbs said. “We also do J.A.M which is a Jesus And Me worship service. We have different churches that come in and do worship songs with our children and a daily devotional with them on Tuesday nights.”

GH also provides a snack every school day and dinner Monday through Thursday.
