Erle P. Halliburton III made a visit to Duncan last week, during which he spoke at a fundraising dinner for the Stephens County Historical Museum and celebrated a milestone for his grandfather’s company, Halliburton.
On Nov. 8, 2019, Halliburton Company celebrated 100 years in Duncan. The company was founded by Erle P. Halliburton in 1919 with a borrowed wagon and a team of mules. The celebration on Nov. 8 featured current and past employees gathering to hear from President, CEO and Chairman of the Board Jeff Miller as well as Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt.
The night before, Erle P. Halliburton III spoke before a crowd at the Historical Museum fundraiser hosted at the Simmons Center, where he shared stories of his grandfather and his grandmother, Vela.
After three days in Duncan, EPHIII and his wife, Linda, prepared to depart from the Lindley House B&B and wanted to extend a heartfelt thanks to the citizens of Duncan for all the generosity and kindness shown to them while in town. For Linda, this was her first time in Duncan.
“Duncan has always been a city with truly remarkable people,” Halliburton III said. “See you all soon and God bless all.”
