Voters will be able to cast their votes early for the Nov. 3 General Election beginning Thursday Oct. 29, Stephens County Election Board Secretary Angela Dunagan said. Social distancing guidelines will be in place. Previous plans were to hold voting on the ground floor, but due to expected weather conditions those plans were changed. Early voting will be available in the main lobby of the Stephens County Courthouse from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 and Friday, Oct. 30 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31. Entry will be through the front doors on the east side of the courthouse.
Lines are possible at peak voting times. Wait times will likely be shortest at mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Anyone in line to vote at 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday or at 2 p.m. on Saturday will be allowed to cast a ballot.
If anyone has any questions, they can call the Stephens County Election Board office at 580-255-8782 Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30.
