A Duncan man was admitted to Mercy Hospital in good condition after his vehicle departed the roadway on Osage Road on Tuesday evening.
According to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) report, the incident happened around 7:17 p.m. Jan. 4 on Osage Road, about a half mile west of County Road 2850 and two miles east of Duncan.
Reports show the accident included one vehicle, a 1994 Chevy pick up, which was driven by Eric D. Bush (SIC), 48, of Duncan.
Records indicate the driver of the Chevy pick up traveled westbound on Osage Road when he “departed the roadway to the right and struck a culvert.” The vehicle “crossed both lanes of traffic and into broad slide departing the roadway to the left (SIC)” before coming to a rest. The vehicle rolled about three times, reports state.
According to the report, the driver was transported to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City by Air Evac in good condition with head, trunk internal and leg injuries.
Reports state the cause of the collision was “driving in a manner not reasonable and proper.”
OHP received assistance at the scene from Stephens County Detachment of Troop G and Stephens County Sheriff’s Office.
