Join in on the fun and get ready for “un-fore-getable” experience on the green while supporting your local humane society and the chance to win $1,000.
The Stephens County Humane Society (SCHS) will host their Humane Society Golf Ball Drop Fundraiser for the shelter on Saturday.
The Golf Ball Drop event will take place at 1 p.m. on May 14 at Jack Wininger Dog Park in Duncan, where one lucky winner will receive $1,000 if the number they select appears on the golf ball that lands closest to the pin.
Community members can donate $10 and they will be assigned a specific numbered ball. It is $10 for one golf ball and $100 equals 10 golf balls, but you don’t have to be present to win.
According to a release, the golf balls will be dumped onto the numbered field by way of a fire department ladder and the ball closest to the pin and flag will with the prize money.
According to a release, through these donations, the shelter is able to operate and help adopt out hundreds of animals each year.
The Golf Ball Drop is sponsored by Duncan Golf and Tennis Club. Jack Wininger Dog Park is located at 15th and Cypress in Duncan.
