The Duncan Fire Department is on scene at 11th Street and Willow for a gas  leak.

Update 11:44 a.m.:  According to fire Chief Dayton Burnside, a four inch gas line has been cut and is leaking heavily. 

“We got from 10th to 12th on Main and Willow, we’ve got the buildings evacuated,” he said. “It’s going to be another two hours before the gas company can get here to shut it off.” 

Burnside is urging people to stay out of the area. 

“We need people to stay away from 10th to 12th on Main Street and Willow,” he said. “Unfortunately,   we are getting ready to kill power from 10th to Highway 81, we’ve got to sever power in this area.” 

 The Duncan Fire Department is on scene at 11th Street and Willow for an unidentified vapor leak at 11 a.m. Please use caution when in the area and follow all instructions given by first responders. The Banner will update more as information becomes available.
