Ruth and Arnold Hall celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Dec. 22, 2016.
Ruth Elise Montgomery and James Arnold Hall were married in Duncan, Oklahoma, in 1951. Both are graduates of Duncan High School.
Arnold worked for Halliburton after high school until entering the Navy in April 1953. Four years in the Navy were followed by four years at the University of Oklahoma and a BS in Electrical Engineering. Twenty-five years in engineering and management with Chevron Corporation took the Halls to live in South America, England on three occasions and Canada. Their two children, Michael and Patricia travelled with them, from their home in the San Francisco Bay Area, receiving part of their schooling in Colombia, South America and London, England.
The Halls travelled extensively while living in London and after retirement in 1986, visiting a total of 43 countries. Two grandchildren, Carrisa and Morgan shared many trips to national parks and other fun places. Carrisa and her husband,Jay Lallatin,have three boys giving Ruth and Arnold three great-grandsons.
The Halls moved from Moraga, California, to Georgetown, Texas, in 2005 where they enjoy their home on the golf course with deer, wild turkeys and other wildlife sharing their space.
