New Jimmy's Egg attracts customers

DUNCAN — Breakfast (and lunch) is now served at the Duncan Jimmy’s Egg.

The newest restaurant in Duncan  opened for business on Monday at its new location at  at 2024 N. U.S. Highway 81.

The restaurant should see a lot of Donna and John Rowley, who said they are pleased they don’t have to travel to Lawton to enjoy a Jimmy’s Egg meal.

“We’ve been to the Lawton branch. We love Jimmy’s Egg,” Donna said. “It’s good for the price.”

On Monday, Donna  opted for a lunch option with a lite wrap while her husband had a traditional breakfast of pancakes and sausage.

Jimmy’s Egg, based in Oklahoma City,  has nine company locations and 14 franchise locations in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.

Its Duncan location will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. everyday.

General Manager Libby Shirra said the restaurant remained busy during its first day.

“Response has been wonderful,” Shirra said. “We have 28 tables and they’ve been full all day.”

The official ribbon cutting is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
