Man injured in bar fight dies

DUNCAN — A man hospitalized for head injuries sustained during a bar fight in Duncan on July 1 has died, police said Tuesday.

Curtis Torrey, who was flown to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center after the incident,  was kept in an induced coma until July 8, when doctors removed him from medical devices, Duncan Police Detective Donny Foraker said.

He was injured during a fight at Chills, a bar at 120 E. Main.

Foraker said he will refer the case to the district attorney for possible criminal charges.

Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
