Unlocked cars attract thieves

DUNCAN — While Duncan residents may want to share their musical taste with the world, leaving cars unlocked with CDs and other items inside invited some unwelcome intruders this weekend.

Duncan Police reported about four instances of theft from unlocked cars over the weekend.

A Duncan man reported 10 CDs stolen from his unlocked car  in the 700 block of W. Cherry Ave. Sunday, according to an incident report.

Another Duncan man reported a $3,000 water test kit stolen from his unlocked car on the same day .

The reporting party told police his car was parked in front of his home in the 1900 block of Chisholm Drive at the time, according to an incident report.

Still another Duncan man lost a $150 TomTom GPS and a $125 digital camera from his unlocked car that day in the 800 block of W. Spruce Ave., according to an incident report.
