Dorotha Morgan

Dec. 19, 1919-May 7, 2014

YUKON — Dorotha Pauline Morgan, 94, passed away May 7, 2014 in Yukon, Okla. She was born Dec. 19, 1919 to James Calvin and Eva (Gibson) Qualls in the Tucker Community near Comanche, Okla. She was one of seven children in a very loving family.

She married James Piner (J.P.) Morgan on Dec. 4, 1937, which united two strong, hardworking farm families. The next day after their marriage, they moved to the farm west of Comanche where they lived, loved and farmed for the next 54 years, until Piner's passing.

Dorotha continued to live by herself on the same farm until 2009, when her health required her to move to Yukon to be close to her children. Dorotha lived her Christian faith daily and loved her Fair Baptist Church family.

Dorotha was preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Morgan; mother and father, Eva and Calvin Qualls; three sisters; and two brothers.

She is survived by daughter Linda Walker and husband Ted; son Wendell Morgan and wife Kay; sister Geraldine Wood; brother-in-law Willard Morgan; grandchildren Kristin Walker, Aaron Walker, Kent Morgan and wife Traci, and Lisa Musgrove; great-grandchildren Jack Morgan and Peyton Musgrove; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Gran Gran's nursing home for their excellent care.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Fair Baptist Church in Duncan. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche.
