DUNCAN — Betty Allene Bradburry McNeill, 72, passed from this life after a long battle with cancer on Friday May 31, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday June 4, 2014 at the Grantham Chapel with Dr. Greg Baxter officiating. Family visitation will be Tuesday June 3, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Grantham Funeral Home.

She was born on Jan. 21,1942 in Duncan to Elbert Bradburry and Lora Jackson Robertson. On Aug. 1, 1960 she married Robert L. McNeill in Duncan.

She was a homemaker and secretary of her late husband's business. She loved to read, cook, garden, and spend time with her family. She especially loved spending time with her children and  grandchildren.

She is survived by her four children: Terresa and Dr. Alvin Peterson of Lawton, Lisa Roebuck of Velma, Robert and Diane McNeill of Velma and Michael and April McNeill and six grandchildren: Emily, Haley, Logan, Hunter, Dillon, and Matthew, and two step-grandchildren: Joshua and Amanda. She is survived by three sisters and one brother: Nora Benito of Pauls Valley, Ruth and Richard Herron of Tulsa, Colleen and Sam Lay of Palmira, Mo. and Thomas Bradburry of Duncan.

She was preceeded in death by her beloved husband Robert L. McNeill, mother Lora Robertson, father Ellbert Bradburry, her bothers Bob Bradburry and Carl Bradburry.

Pallbearers are Vance Benito, Eddie Pruitt, Joshua Peterson, Ricky Bradburry, Johnny Bradburry, and Greg Lay.

Honorary bearers are Matthew Peterson, Logan Roebuck, Hunter McNeill, and Dillon McNeill.

Special thanks to all the staff at Promise Care Hospice for the awesome care you gave to her. Especially Kathy Graham RN, Marla Coleman RN, Karyl Redmond LPN, Ruth Perry LPN and Deanna Ariston CHHA. Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
Either time is fine.
