Free admission on Fourth of July at Sam Noble Museum

NORMAN – — The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History will offer complimentary admission on Thursday, July 4 in honor of Independence Day.

 Currently on exhibit at the museum is Beautiful Beasts: The Unseen Life of Oklahoma Spiders and Insects, featuring larger-than-life photographs of Oklahoma’s smallest creatures, and Bob Kuhn: Drawing on Instinct, displaying beautiful sketches and paintings of some of the world’s most magnificent animals. Both exhibits will be on display through Sept. 8.

The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History is located on the University of Oklahoma Norman campus at Timberdell Road and Chautauqua Avenue.

  • Big game atmosphere VYPE picks Duncan to make playoffs

    Despite facing a rigorous schedule, Duncan was picked by VYPE’s preseason football preview to return to the postseason after a one-year hiatus.
    With new coach Craig Benson taking over this season, the magazine predicted Duncan will finish fourth in Class 5A District 1 ahead of Chickasha and behind Ardmore. The Demons are also ranked as the No. 16 team in the Class, with Lawton Mac being the highest ranked team in the district at No. 4.
