Dr. Brenda Green Montgomery

May 25, 1957 - June 12, 2014

DUNCAN — Dr. Brenda Green Montgomery, 57, of Russellville, formerly of Stillwater, died Thursday, June 12, 2014 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Ark. The daughter of Selvie and Irene Green, she was born May 25, 1957 in Duncan.  She graduated from OSU with a PhD in Hospitality and Restaurant Administration.  She taught at Comanche High School, Oklahoma State University, and Arkansas Tech University.  Dr. Montgomery’s teaching and mentoring career spanned 35 years.  She was a member of the Stephens Methodist Church in Duncan.  Dr. Montgomery enjoyed cooking and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Beth Baker; son, Jason Montgomery.

Survivors include daughter, Lindsey Chenault; grandson, Julius Chenault both from Russellville; sister, Bonnie Carter from Joplin, Miss.; two brothers, Wayne Baker from Temple, Texas, Bill Green from Pauls Valley, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Humphrey Chapel. Pastor Carl Hudson will officiate. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Should the date for The World's Largest Garage Sale be changed from the third weekend in July to sometime in October to take advantage of cooler weather like we had this past weekend?

No. It's better in the summer cause kids are out of school.
Yes. More shoppers would come during nice fall weather.
