Patriotic concert to be held this evening

DUNCAN — The Chisholm Trail Municipal Band will hold its final concert of the summer series at 8 p.m. tonight at Fuqua Park.

The band will use the gazebo as their stage for their patriotic concert, which will pay homage to the holiday as well as the men and women who serve in the armed forces, on the police force or in fire protection.

About 80 musicians will play in the concert, and Jeramy Haas, Band Director, expects this evening to draw the largest crowd of the concert series.

Those attending the concert should bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.  In case of inclimate weather, Band President Jennifer Bivens said the concert will be held in the First United Methodist Center.
